Alpine Nurseries hosted a morning of face to face ‘Plant Talks’ for AILDM members on 25 February.
Each presenter profiled a series of plants, identifying the features and benefits as well as giving practical information. Presenters:
Hydrozoning your landscapes: Emmet Holland
Shade loving plants for Sydney gardens: Samantha Riley
Making the connection between pot and plant size: Charlie Woodhouse
The talks were targeted at landscape design students and emerging businesses but even experienced designers left with improved knowledge thanks to the expertise of the presenters. New ideas for the selection and placement of plants, planning a garden to better group plants with similar water requirements, and a greater understanding of the relevance of pot size were just a few of the items covered.
Set amongst an array of beautifully displayed plants it was an inspiring event for plant lovers.
AILDM extends it thanks to everyone at Alpine for their warm hospitality, and to Emmet, Samantha & Charlie for sharing their knowledge.
