MAYFIELD GARDENS - 6 March
We are excited to invite AILDM members and Students to an exclusive tour of Mayfield Gardens by one of their Landscape Designer/Gardeners.
Mayfield Garden is Australia’s largest privately-owned, cool climate garden. It remains a living legacy of the Hawkins family who took much of their inspiration for this project from the some of Europe’s most significant horticultural experiences.
Beautiful and unique in every season, Mayfield Garden opens its 15-hectate water garden 363 days of the year, while the Hawkins’ Private Family Garden is an additional 50 hectares in size and only opens to visitors four times a year for seasonal festivals.
We have been fortunate that Mayfield has offered to give our members a private tour of the full garden, including the family estate.
This will be a chance to escape the city, catch up with fellow garden lovers and be inspired as we ramble through beautiful open gardens. You will need to arrange your own transport and accommodation.
