AILDM is pleased to announce the winner of their 2019 Landscape Design Competition for Students and Recent Graduates in landscape design.
The competition was open to all landscape design students in Australia currently enrolled in, or graduated in the past 12 months from, a design course that leads to a Diploma, Advance Diploma, Design Certificate IV or a Degree in Landscape Design.
They were required to design a landscape to a brief provided by AILDM and were encouraged to design imaginatively and creatively, while being mindful of the practical considerations of site constraints and opportunities, the client brief, and environmental issues.
Congratulations to the competition winner - Anouk Lee , a student of landscape design at Ryde TAFE.
'The winning design's presentation was of a professional standard and was a beautiful design. The layout had well balanced spaces with the ratios of open space to planting considered. The design was broken into garden rooms which all had a function and their own ‘feeling’ so moving through the spaces was an enjoyable journey and I imagine an extension of the indoor living spaces. All of the areas were not completely resolved however the planting, the materials and overall design were cohesive, complementary and appealing. The brief was very considered and well written expressing the clients creative and artistic interests, the design was developed with those interests in mind.'
