CPD Activities


In any membership year members must gain 12 points of CPD activity.

Of these 12 points, a minimum of 6 points must be drawn from Core activities and the remainder from Non-Core activities.

 

CORE ACTIVITIES

  1. GAIN KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
    1. Formal Study

Successfully undertake formal, relevant study/training through Recognised Training Providers (eg TAFE, University)

Above Diploma:12 points per semester

Diploma:              10 points per semester

Cert. 4:                 8 points per semester

Other:                   6 points per semester

Successfully undertake a short course or workshop

3 points per activity

 

  1. Conference Attendance

Attend a relevant* professional conference

1 Point per hour, to a maximum of 8 points per conference

 

  1. Seminar attendance

Attend a relevant* professional seminar

1 Points per hour, to a maximum of 6 points per seminar

FOR REGIONAL MEMBERS - Read notes from a relevant* seminar

2 Points per set of Presentation Notes, to a maximum 6 points per seminar

 

  1. Mentor

Be mentored by an AILDM member

1 Point per hour of contact

 

  1. Research

Undertake industry-based academic research through a Recognised Training Organisation

5 Points 

Undertake industry based research in preparation for delivering a paper at a conference or seminar, or academic journal/publication

6 Points

 

  1. Attend Expeditions/Tours

Undertake and document a Study Tour

1 Point per hour

 

  1. PROVIDE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
    1. Presentations

Prepare and Present a Paper or Topic for an Industry Event or Publication ( LO)

Teach or lecture within the industry at a Recognised Training Organisation

Mentor an AILDM Member

  1. PARTICIPATION IN AILDM
    1. Enter the AILDM Annual Design Awards

Prepare and submit an entry in AILDM National Design Awards
